Mayu Matsuda, DVM
Dr. Matsuda started her veterinary career at Michigan State University, where she received her veterinary degree in 2006. She then moved to Chicago and went into general practice for two years before returning to academia for her residency training at Auburn University. She completed her Internal Medicine residency in 2013 and successfully passed the board exams. In 2015, she officially became board-certified in the College of Veterinary Internal Medicine after her publication was accepted.
A year and a half after having a child, she decided to leave the hospital life and started Veterinary Internal Medicine &Imaging, Inc., a mobile consulting service, in May 2019. Through VIMI, she is able to bring internal Medicine directly to primary veterinarians. She considers herself a general internist, but her special interests include endocrine disorders, anemias, and anything feline-related. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and following cats on Instagram.
